Itinerant painting exhibit called “We all wanted to be Princesses” through Chile, Guatemala, Panamá, etc
Three Chilean artists Alejandro Arrepol, Teresa Ortúzar, and Fernando Toledo presented 10 paintings each in different formats: 120x140cm, 100x130cm, 100x100cm, and a polyptych of paintings of 50x50cm.
The paintings are acrylic and mixed medium on canvas.
Each painting is inspired by different female characters, from both Chilean mythologies as well as from the contemporary world, who can, seek, or dream of becoming a “Princess”.
The title also alludes to the poem by Gabriela Mistral “We were all going to be queens”. |
